MVMNT Lab Story

Amy graduated from the Oklahoma State University in 2016 with a B.S. in Health Education & Promotion with a focus in exercise science, and went on to obtain a Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019 from South College University in Knoxville, TN. She has been practicing physical therapy with special interest in orthopedics, spine health, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders since 2019. She uses evidence-based practices when working with her clients and is skilled in manual therapy, trigger-point dry needling, cupping, and exercise prescription.

Amy has always enjoyed exercise, activity, & movement from dancing & competitive swimming in adolescence, to yoga, boxing, and pilates in adulthood. She began taking Pilates lessons in 2021, and referred many of her physical therapy patients to Pilates classes as well. Both she and her patients felt so good with a consistent Pilates practice, that she felt called to begin her teaching certification as well in order to best serve her patients. She began her Pilates training in 2023 with The Pilates Center in Boulder, CO, and completed her training in early 2024.

Amy is passionate about both physical therapy and pilates, and loves to see her clients and patients progress towards a pain-free lifestyle. She believes there is so much benefit to combining the two to heal the body, prevent injury, and enhance movement. She is always eager to learn new skills, and share her knowledge with others to get people moving better and feeling their best so she opened MVMNT Lab Pilates & Wellness in September 2024 to do just that.
